Apple Valley Childcare & Preschool (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit yakimachildcare.com, how we use it, and what choices you have.
This is the website privacy policy only. It’s separate from the in-person enrollment paperwork and the photo/video release we’ll ask you to sign when your child enrolls — those cover different things.
Who this site is for
yakimachildcare.com is written for parents and guardians. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 through this website. If you believe a child has submitted information through the site, please email us so we can remove it.
What we collect
Information you give us. If you call, email, or fill out a form on the site, we collect what you share — your name, phone number, email, child’s age, and anything you tell us about your enrollment needs.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, Google Analytics collects standard web information: pages viewed, referring source, approximate location (city/region), device and browser type, and a session identifier. This information is aggregated and used to understand how the site is being used.
Our website also includes embedded content from third parties:
- Google Maps (showing our location)
- Facebook (showing our recent posts)
When that content loads, those companies may set their own cookies or collect information per their own privacy policies. We don’t control what they collect.
Server logs. Our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, request URL) for security and troubleshooting. These are retained for a short period and then deleted.
How we use the information
- To respond to inquiries about enrollment, tours, tuition, or general questions
- To understand how the site is being used and improve it
- To prevent abuse and keep the site secure
- To comply with applicable Washington state and federal laws
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with marketers.
Cookies
The site uses cookies (small text files saved by your browser) for essential functions, for analytics (Google Analytics), and for embedded content (Google Maps, Facebook) which those third parties set when their content loads.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Most of the site will still work, though embedded content may not display correctly.
How long we keep your information
- Inquiries (calls, emails, form submissions): kept as long as needed to respond and follow up. Typically deleted within 24 months unless your child has enrolled, in which case our records are governed by the in-person enrollment paperwork.
- Analytics data: retained per Google Analytics defaults (currently 14 months).
- Server logs: typically 30–90 days.
Your choices and rights
- You can ask us what information we have about you. Email us using the contact info below.
- You can ask us to delete it. Same channel. We’ll comply unless we are required to keep it (for example, certain childcare licensing records).
- You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s opt-out tool: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
Children’s photos
Photos of children on this website are only published with a signed photo/video release from a parent or guardian. If you would like a photo of your child removed from the site, contact us and we will take it down promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will show when it was last revised.
