Logo lockups

Use these as-is. Don't recreate, recolor, or rebuild. The four lockups below cover horizontal (banner) and stacked (square) formats, on light and dark backgrounds.

Clear space

Keep clear space around the logo equal to the height of the apple in the mark. Don't crowd it with other text or graphics.

Minimum size

Horizontal lockup: no smaller than 140 px on screen, or 1.5 in in print. Stacked lockup: no smaller than 80 px on screen, or 0.75 in in print.

Don't stretch or squish. Resize proportionally only. Hold Shift when scaling.

Don't recolor. Use the supplied lockups exactly. No new colors, no gradients, no outlines.

Don't add effects. No drop shadows, glows, bevels, or filters.

Don't use it on a busy or low-contrast background. Use the transparent version on solid colored or dark images, the JPG version when you need a clean light backdrop. When in doubt, give it a solid backdrop.

Don't rebuild the wordmark. The Baloo 2 type is part of the supplied artwork. Don't retype it.

Don't lock it up with other logos. If it needs to sit next to a partner logo, leave generous space between.

Our Palette

Colors

Apple Red and Leaf Green come straight from the logo. Sunny Yellow is the energy accent — never used for small text. Ink is body copy. Cream gives sections a warm alternating rhythm without leaving the off-white family.

Our Voice

How we sound

Warm, high-energy, and personal. We sound like Angelica — like a grandma who's also a school teacher. Specific over generic, plainspoken over corporate, and never talks down to parents.

Always celebratory. We're proud of the kids, the families, and the work. When we talk about Apple Valley, it sounds like we love it — because we do.

Kindergarten-focused, not just daycare. We're an academic preschool that also happens to be full-day care. The K-prep curriculum is the headline, not a footnote.
