Our Story

"When I became a single mom, I was scared to leave my own girls with just anyone. So I built somewhere I'd trust to send them."

27 Years of This

It started with a little girl lining up her dolls.

I've been teaching since before I knew that's what it was — a little girl lining up her dolls to read them stories, take attendance, hand out the snacks. I never grew out of it.

When I became a single mom, child care stopped being something I thought about and became something I needed. I was scared to leave my own girls with just anyone. So in 2002 I opened a place I'd be happy to send them to — and I've been doing it every weekday since.

Twenty-seven years in, some of the kids I cared for are bringing me theirs now. That's the whole job, right there. I'm not running a daycare; I'm getting little ones ready for kindergarten and loving them while I do it.

What Matters Here

A few things we don't compromise on.

Kindergarten Prep

Ready, not catching up

We teach the real thing — Writing Without Tears handwriting, letter sounds, name-writing, ten-frame math. When our Pre-K kids start kindergarten, they walk in ready.

Small Rooms

A name, never a number

Three classrooms, licensed for 37 children total, with low ratios — 7 to 1 in the toddler room. Your child is known here: their quirks, their friends, what makes them laugh.

Every Family

Care that works for working parents

We accept Working Connections (WCCC) and Yakama Nation CCDF right alongside private pay. If you work, we want to make child care actually work for you.

The Official Part
